BIG BOY II, 1939, 27' Clive Brown Utility

Stem, Forefoot, and Partial Keel Replacement
1   Bubbling and peeling paint are evidence of structural deterioration.
2   Paint is stripped for initial assessment of structure.
3   Planking removed and holes drilled to facilitate replacement of ribs prior to stem work to maintain hull shape.
4   Rib replacement continues.
5   New ribs are installed.  Planking is sprung from stem to begin process of stem, forefoot and partial keel replacement.
​6   Newly fabricated structural installation progresses.
7   Planks are fit to the cutwater and clamped in place.
8   Planking, stem, forefoot and keel are faired and cutwater is fit.
​9   Bottom paint is freshly applied.
