OSPREY II, 1930, 28' Duke Mahogany Launch

Partial Bottom Replacement
1   The extent of required restoration work has been established.  Fasteners and fittings are removed  followed by the necessary removal of keel, planks, and ribs.
2   Bottom material has been removed in way of upcoming repair.  Damaged ribs are repaired and new wedges replaced on bottom of ribs.  
3   Wedges have been glued and varnished to ensure proper fit of the port and starboard garboard planks to the keel.
4   New keel installed and new planking begins.
5   Opening for the shaft has been bored through the keel, further planking progresses.
6   New planks in place with temporary screws and fender washers.  Now ready for the garboard planks.  Riveting of planks to the ribs will be completed at one time.
