ARDMORE, a 26' Long Deck Launch built in 1916 is a fine example of one of Bert Minett's few early boats. Particular elegant details noteworthy of Minett's exceptional woodworking skills were replicated as covering boards were replaced. These include his signature "keyed" joints, a raised ridge sculpted into the mahogany sweeping around the bow of the deck just behind the stem, and a complicated aluminum cutwater casting that accepts a stepped joint from the forward covering board pieces. Refinishing of the hull completed restoration work for this classic beauty.
