AEGIS VI, a 25' Triple Cockpit Launch built by Ditchburn in 1936 underwent extensive work to restore the boat to its original form and integrity. Damaged and rotted structure was removed and replaced, and previous unsatisfactory repairs were re-engineered. This major reconstruction required diligent attention to alignment of the minimal remaining structure in order to maintain the as-built hull form. A dark, oil based stain returned the visual aesthetic of the period and the engine was replaced with a new 330 HP Mercury for a boost in speed.
