Steering Wheel Replacement
1 The steering wheel is carved out of multiple pieces of wood held together by finger joints. Notches are carved for the spokes. 2 Center and spokes are tested to ensure a proper fit. 3 Plugs are cut to cover and seal the spokes in place. 4 The steering wheel is sanded smooth and cross grain marks are removed. 5 Bottom view of steering wheel ready for finishing. 6 Top view of steering wheel ready for finish. 7 The steering wheel has been stained, varnished, and installed. |
